Cobrizo condos

From their website…

“The Cobrizo @ Lake Union, combines affordability with spectacular views of Lake Union. The buildings trendy industrial exterior flows into the interior where interesting colors, angles and transitions between rooms emulate an active urban lifestyle.”

WTF are they talking about?!?

By “emulate an active urban lifestyle” they must mean living directly on one of Seattle’s biggest highways, Aurora.

Do not actively run across the highway in front, you will die.

We hope they plan to “transition” some of those “interesting” copper colored “angles” out of existence.

We are left to wonder about the “trendy industrial exterior.” Are enormous faux snake skin panels the new brick?

Finally, we read “affordability” as we really can’t sell these for very much.

And a special note for the bank: After foreclosure, these condos might “transition” most easily into the neighborhood as a sex club called “Ride the Wave”.

Duuuuude…. I have hated this monstrosity for years. Thank you putting up some of the absolute shit that popped up like weeds in the late 90′s. Might I also suggest the similarly awful, beige siding-wrapped box at the corner of Eastlake and Harvard. It’s an affront to all that is holy.

The Jersey barriers give it kind of a gritty Bauhaus touch. Or maybe they are intended to create a concrete-gated community???

That is *seriously* a GREAT photo!

    Why?

It shows oh-so-clearly the siding peeling off the building after, what, less than ten years? Let me guess — it’s the finest vinyl humans can buy, right?

I’ve seen the cheap vinyl siding — the one that doesn’t even try to look real — falling off buildings that have barely been built.

Twenty years from now, most of the condos you’re featuring are going to be crumbling, sodden tenements. People then will wonder just what the hell sort of drugs we were on back then to let crap like this get thrown up.

Unfortunately, the barrier in front of the Cobrizo is not really directly in front of the building, rather in the middle of the road, between the lanes. It won’t really provide any protection against a driver stricken with sudden and severe condo rage.

Instead of building a new condo building on Aurora you would rather have falling down old motels. The cobrizo condos only enhance the neighborhood and Aurora Ave. The perpetrator of this website doesnt know squat.
