Condos inspired by FEMA. The upshot is they won’t last.

In the meantime, pray that these trees grow as fast as possible.

Um, what’s with the flying nun suite in the corner?

Unholy is right! Is that pale and horrid looking gray, rectangular part for penance? I AM praying for those trees to grow!!

AWFUL mish-mash of condo 101 design…but NICE hat. I vote for that fetching, aerodynamic head ornament for all cheerful, summer people. Great sun protection, and you might just catch some air when you are running for the bus.

I think that’s the new FEMA hard hat. Distinctive, like the blue helmets for the UN.

  4. Farkus Says:

The gray and red stone bottom with those windows looks like the foundation of a hospital. Is there a doctor in the house?

  5. Bell Says:

Yes, the gray and red stone is particularly cheap and hideous. I agree about the hospital foundation…or maybe they were aiming for the fetching look of a freeway retaining wall.

Just discovered this site. Live in Miami (where we have our own site of condostrosities) so am curious: what’s with all the use of brick red, grey, dark green corrugated metal as siding? Is this supposed to hark back to some happier era of, what, I don;t know the NW, fisherman’s shacks? Some sort of allusion to Cannery Row?

I think the closest comparison is the Redi-Shack available at Home Depot. Or maybe Upton Sinclaire’s The Jungle.l

It’ll look better when they remove all the scaffolding.

The new FEMA hard hat peeled like a banana after being hit by a North Korean nuke.
