621 5th Ave. N

If a condo itself ever needed some Paxil to fend off the pervasive sense of “blah”, this might be a good candidate.
Although the owners might want some Prozac lying around when they have to pay their monthly mortgages.
These condos start at $270,000.
Hardwood composite tile floors are an extra $12,000. OMFG…
The motor-inn façade might one day lend itself to yet another conversion. Perhaps a motel, The Seranalodge.
You can check in anytime, but you can never leave.

OMG- The truck brake lights say it all- The Craigslist M4M reader just realized that this is the address for the submissive GAM, and is about to throw it in reverse…

I passed by this for at least a year before I figured out it was a condo. It looks like it could be an annex for the Hampton Inn across the street.

On the plus side, it has actual bay windows, a usable driveway, and a decent streetscape at the sidewalk level. The upper floors need some texture or horizontal lines to define the floors, perhaps in the form of (stucco?) stonework or brickwork.

Better check the building paper under the stucco. I will bet you lunch that you will find only one layer.

It is interesting that people come on and defend these
crimes against design. Now Jasper comes on and suggests a simple
way to “improve” the design. Hey Jasper, could they pay that with
what the developer left in their reserve account? I’m betting you’d
bid on it too.

O.K. Everyone,
We all need to accept something; Attila the Hun style living is not a totally bad thing. What I mean is that “ephemeral” is not all bad nor is it alien to us. Why do we want something that is going to stand the test of time (or design)? Why should something be so “award worthy” in order to meet with our praise? Face it, people want a place to live, they want it now (because they need a place to live), and they are willing to look the other way about all kinds of stuff in order to feel good for just a little while. So I would say two things (alternatives to each other): (1) let them be happy or (2) rejoice in the fact that an Attila the Hun like entropy is engulfing them. But it is simply not honest to pretend we care about anything else besides those two options.
